A1 Microwave was founded in 2001, and is a leading designer and manufacturer of passive RF and microwave components and sub-assemblies for satcoms, telecoms, defence, radar and scientific applications.
We are located in Pickering in the United Kingdom and have our design, manufacturing and administration support functions all in the same building which provides a coherent business process and fast responding capabilities to customer requests.


Products and services are free from ITAR restrictions and many of our commercial off the shelf products (COTs) can be tailored to meet precise customer requirements.

A1 employs world-beating design and simulation software to produce “right first time” designs with optimum performance and requiring little or no post-manufacture tuning. Standard and custom-designed products are offered in the frequency range 100 MHz to 50 GHz and popular filters for satcoms are available from stock for quick delivery.

Custom designed products is a speciality where we work closely with our customers at the initial concept stage to agree on a design approach that provides a rugged and reliable product solution at cost competitive prices. We can take 3D drawings and provide recommendations to save weight and cost, whilst providing state of the art electrical performances which is keeps our customers at the leading edge of their technologies.


A1 Microwave also provides build to print of precision waveguide components and sub-assemblies from WG6 (WR650) to WG22 (WR28). We supply specialist items to the Defence, Aerospace, Marine, Satellite Communications, Commercial and High Power segments of the markets. Production is in a tightly controlled environment, utilising the latest CNC Milling and Turning facilities, Bending, Brazing and Assembly of components. Waveguide components and assemblies include; Slotted Arrays, Bends, Twists, Couplers, Transitions, OMTs, Rotary Joints, Circulator and Load Housings.
